Forums - Gaming - Zelda U looks like The Last Guardian.

Yes, the art styles are verry similar, but with one really big differentiator being the color pallet.

TLG has much more of a dark brown/grey/green color pallet while Zelda U has much more vibrant greens, blues, yellows, ect.

Was going to say this.

Also, I'm not surprised by the similarities, given Twilight Princess and SOTC also shared some ideas. I suppose this is a case of great minds thinking alike.

Honestly, I don't see many similarities, TLG is much more toward realism (except the kid) than Zelda U.

No it doesn't.

...Excuse me? Except the kid? How does the kid, in any way, lessen the "realism" of the art style in TLG?

I dont see any resemblance...but if you think it does then TLG looks like WW and Skyword Sword.

Sorry, are you being serious here?

Everything BUT the kid looks like 'stylized realism'. Kid looks like he jumped out from cartoon, and stands out in every scene from the background, bird-monster and temple guards.

Suggestion - watch the trailer again.

No. Everything, including the kid, looks like it's from an anime, where animals are usually made to look "realistic." The kid doesn't stand out are all. Any anime that depicts realism have animals that look more realistic than the faces of the humans, which is the only thing that looks not realistic in anime like this. The only remote resemblance to anime at all are the kid's eyes.
