Honestly i agree with this. The intransigence and double-talk third parties went through from the early Wii U to how they actually supported Wii U, combined with the Wii's success at third parties' expense, should show Nintendo exactly the way forward. Sucking up to third parties is a fool's errand: kick 'em to the curb, keep expanding the eShop instead.


That's just a conspiracy theory. There is not enough evidence. You are crazy.

NIntendo should buy all the japanese devs that are struggling  and then make the best console of all time with super easy to develop yet extremely powerful hardware thats also a complete game changer  and just not allow EA Activision and Ubisoft to make games. Like a "IN YOUR FACE YOU OPPORTUNIST PIGS!"


That would be so fucking hilarious!   And if they decide to let people make games they should just establish a "NEO-Nintendo seal of quality."   Make a game and we greenlit it if its great and we randomly dont just to be dicks xD

Why do Nintendo fans think that only games made by Nintendo are good games? This is part of the reason why 3rd party support is minimal to nonexistent.

yeah it worked pretty well for N64 and gamecube.

People need to stop with this "only nintendo games are good" or "only exclusives matters".

Exclusives matter when we are comparing Playstation vs Xbox because both have the multiplats.

But when comes down to WiiU multiplat matters because WiiU don't have it.

The witcher 3 and Arkham Knight are examples of games that probably will score 90+ on metacritic and are pontentially GOTY and Wii U will not have it.

This kind of elitism only hurts nintendo gamers....

See, I said this same thing when Wii released. I called it a fad that won't work forever and once the appeal wears off they'll be at the bottom. Everyone called me a fool. But everyone who called me a fool won't even answer my calls anymore lol.

I disagree. Nintendo can make amazing games, with or without pressure. Third party would make the Wii U a much more justifiable purchase for anyone who isn't a huge Nintendo fan already, because they know that they can their the great first party Nintendo titles and their favorite multiplats (Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Dead Island, etc) This is all my opinion of course, and I don't own a Wii U either.

Multiplats make up for a huge part of library diversity in a console, some of the best titles in many gens are multiplats and I think the Wii U is missing out on quite a bit.

People keeps trying to convince themselves, but it is needed. Some of the most successful Nintendo's systems had great third party support.
