Forums - Sony - QUICK! Best Vita RPG!

You can pick up Soul Sacrifice for cheap, now that Delta is out, and its an awesome timesink . And then maybe get FFX/X2 HD remakes. I wont recomend P4G, seeing that everyone already did

Persona 4, then Final Fantasy 10-2.  Most people don't like the Atelier games, but if you like the time management gameplay of the series, you'd like those as well.  Problem is, you can get all these games on the PS2 or PS3, so the purchase wasn't worth it honestly.

If you haven't played PSX or PSP games, there are a lot of good RPGs on PSN for both and the Vita will play almost all of them.  Arc the Lad 2 is my favorite PSX RPG available on PSN.  Brigandine isn't on PSN, neither is the PSX version of Tactics Ogre.  Other great RPGs though are the Squaresoft games, Grandia, Breath of Fire 4, Vanguard Bandits, etc.

Persona 4 Golden, there really is no other option.
Also imo FFX/X-2 HD is also amazing.

Ys Celceta

Some non Rpgs taht are prette grat are Tearaway, LBP and Guacameele

How is that important to someone who doesn't have either of those consoles?

Persona 4 Golden is the greatest RPG of all time, bare none, and easily one of the best overall games ever created so of course it's a must have. Also vanilla P4 doesn't even hold a candle to Golden because of the sheer amount of improvements and content added so settling for the original is a disservice.

As far as other RPGs on Vita I've played I'd rank them as such:

  • Ys: Memories of Celceta (excellent)
  • Final Fantasy X/X-2 (excellent)
  • Demon Gaze (great)
  • Mind Zero (good)
  • Disgaea 3 (good)
  • Conception 2 (ok)

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm glad I held out for P4G over vanilla P4.

There's also some PS1 classics you can get and some PSP titles such as Final Fantasy series (FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFVII Crisis Core, FF1 Anniversary, FF2 Anniversary, FF3, etc). P3P is great too along with the Star Ocean remakes.

Sadly Crisis Core isn't available for the Vita. It was only released as a physical game (so doesn't fit into the vita). Sadly, it's one of the only reasons to hang onto a PSP (along with Tales of Eternia)
