Yeah, preordering digital games sounded stupid to me from the beginning. The only reasons I could think of was:

1: If you have cash when the preorder is released, you can order it then and not risk being out of money when the game releases.
2: if the game installs automatically when it becomes available at midnight, it will be ready to play when you wake up the same morning.

I don't know why Sony can not just use practical sense, and not make these missteps. This should have never even been an issue, just like the Drive Club situation a couple months ago. They need to get their shit together fast, otherwise people are going to turn on them. They don't have room for these kind of mistakes.

they are testing, if the media goes apeshit they will say it was a mistake and the person is fired. if not this will be the new normal...

People pre-order A DIGITAL GAME knowing that their money is taken immediately and that NO REFUNDS will be given
