Man if you like platformers this console is a no brainer. Also, MK8 is the best game I've played this year.

You just convinced me not to buy a Wii U yet.
Earthbound the greatest rpg ever to come into existence is on the virtual console.
Nintendo land makes the best drunk people party game.
Donkey kong has nice visuals and music. One of the better 2 player co-op experiences.
3d world is awesome for 4 players, but kinda easy.
It's cheaper then the other two.
Sonic and rayman are good 3rd party fillers.
More games are coming.
It'll stop Iwata from crying.
Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.
Did ever cross your mind that Nintendo is really not for you? I mean, if you had at least some opening for nintendo you would have tried some of their well known games. The very fact that you didnt try up until this point some of their best games, shows that you are not for nintendo.
Or maybe you are just bored and want to amuse yourself with asking people to do for you what have no intention whatsoever.
Wii U is an awesome system because it has a gamepad that allows you to play games offscreen, has a mic and speaker, can browse the web, and is touchscreen. It's an amazing thing if you have to share a television in a household it wont interrupt your gaming.
I would say the best games for the system for getting the most bang for your buck are: Monster Hunter 3U and Mario Kart 8. Both are incredibly fun to play online and are both intense and offer a hardcore gaming experience.
There's also Super Mario 3D world which is one of the better platformers I've played in a while. It takes a few levels to ramp up in difficulty but the final stages are pretty damn tough with Champion Road really testing your skills.
Pikmin 3's single player campaign was pretty good, I wouldn't say it keep me completely engrossed but the multiplayer is highly underrated and offers something unique to consoles -- RTS multiplayer
I would say if you want the ultimate gaming experience get a Wii U, 3DS, and a PC, ditch all the other junk (well perhaps keep a refurbed Ps3 on standby)
OK, not only do you have wonderful first party exclusives like Mario Kart 8, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong, and Mario 3D World but some great 3rd party titles are there too like Rayman Legends. Other third party titles that are good are Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, Sonic Lost World, CoD BO2 + Ghosts (jk Ghosts sucks everywhere), Batman titles, Scribblenauts, Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and many others. Also there is asymmetric gameplay techniques like the GamePad for instance. Also, there are TONS of great indie gems just waiting for you to get. The console is the biggest value of the consoles now and provides the greatest games (as of now). If that doesn't interest you, know that in the future there are titles like the JRPG Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda U, Star Fox U, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Kirby's Rainbow Curse, Splatoon, and Captain Toads adventures. And that's just what we know for next year. Also, they are working on improving the virtual console, which means games from the NES, SNES, N64, GBA, DS, and hopefully GameCube will be on there soon, all in glorious HD! If I convinced you let me know!
XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC
RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015
Thanks for all the great memories!

Hey, I also wanted to give some advice. If you don't pick up a PS4 for two more years you're going to find a much better deal for it then.
But late November would probably be a great time to buy. However I'd consider it worth it now and I don't think the deals are going to be that much better unless you happen to pick it up on Black Friday.
If the fantastic library of games already available hasnt peaked your interest, then watch Nintendos digital event and plenty of the treehouse coverage.
