Well excuuuuse me Mr. Aonuma, seems to me like you're simply afraid to give him a voice.

I'm convinced if he does almost everyone will complain and be like THIS ISN'T THE VOICE WE IMAGINED only to realize they weren't thinking of the same thing.

Also would you like Link to whisper sweet nothings to your ear? xD

What I was thinking also.

Everyone should get a voice just so I can watch the conformists squirm.

Why can't they just get the actor who does his sounds and grunts to voice him too when he speaks? Does anyone disapprove of his current actor for the grunts and yells? Maybe he can learn some English too for an English VO

I hope Link sounds like Hulk Hogan...

Dat poll

It would certainly be really odd for me to play a Zelda game where the characters have voice acting but I'm open to that as long as Link doesn't speak (sorry but I don't like the idea) and the rest of the voices aren't cringe worthy or cheesy or just plain awful.

This post pretty much sums up what the Zelda fanbase thinks.

Most games with voice acting are cringe worthy. Didn't care for it at all in Metroid Prime 3.

Voice acting doesn't belong in the Zelda series.

Yeah, but if they can make the voice acting really good, It'd definitely be great for the series!

I wonder, going back 25 years, if they had the processing power then as they do now would they have excluded voice acting in the original Zelda game?

Of course the problem is every fan has their own idea of what Link would sound like if he talked, so if they gave Link a voice most of the fans would hate it.
