I've only played a couple of minutes of that game. How similar are they to Sonic Rush?


Pretty similar, just regular 2D Sonic gameplay like the genesis games, same with Sonic Rush. This isn't a bad thing though.

Are the Advanced games more fast-paced then the Genesis ones?

I'm that rare Sonic fan that realizes that 2D Sonic and 3D Sonic are as different as 3D mario and 2D mario, the new brand of games like Generation, Unleashed, basically the stuff we got last gen that wasn't 06, is basically like the 2.5D Mario.
Sonic 06 is more like Sonic Adventure trying to make it into an RPG whereas it should be a 3D platformer focused on Speed, that was what was advertised too.

SA3's problems were mainly technical, its story was cheesy but thats not as bad as the new Sonic stories, and the Sonic/Shadow gameplay was were it really shined in terms of gameplay.

That has to be, without a doubt, the worst typo I've ever made. Sonic Advance 2 is the best Sonic game in the series. Such a painful typo...

The chao garden was the bomb, though.

I know it's supposed to be subjective and all that, but I honestly loose a little respect for people that still like that game, unless they're like those DBZ fans who have fond memories of the TV show as kids, but can light heartedly admit that it was shit in retrospect.

That game gave me trust issues. I used to love Sonic. Now I'm one of those people in denial, just hoping that a good 3D Sonic game is possible. I've gone of record saying that Sonic Generations was shit, but it isn't. It's not shit. Kind of lame? Sure. But it's no Sonic Adventure 1+2. Metroid Other M is better than Sonic Adventure 1+2. Terrible games. Terrible.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

It's a top 5 3D platformer all-time in my opinion. That game was one of the main reasons I chose the GameCube over the ps2 back in the day. I loved that game.
