All this capcom talk.... I have mostly ignored all capcom related threads but its becoming annoying.
First off, if capcom were so good to begin with, they wouldn't be in the situation they are in now.
Secondly, the gaming industry is a very what you see is what you get industry, as a publisher; if you make a good game, that game will sell. If you treat your fanbase well, they will stick to you like white on rice. Capcom has gone about gaming wrongly for the best part of the last 6yrs. There focus seems more on the money side of the business than actually focusing on just being the best multiplatform publisher they can be with a portolio of great games. Rather, they take one or two IPs and try and milk them for everything they are worth.
Personally, if you ask me.. sentiments aside, capcom should just go away. Unlike most, I don't see the demise of publishing houses as a bad thing. It just tells others how not to do business.
I mean the TWO biggest capcom franchises, are 20 year old IPs for crying out loud. And they should be saved? as much as we may hat on square, they at least invested in expanding their portfolio and now have Deus EX and tomb raider franchises.
I don't want Nintendo to buy Capcom. I want Nintendo to buy SOME of Capcom's more awesome IPs like Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe, Power Stone, Devil May Cry and others!

Nintendo is the best candidate. Not only do they have the money, but Iwata was on record as saying Nintendo was open to Mergers and Acquisitions. So, if anything, I'm sure Nintendo is certainly open to buying Capcom; especially since they've work so closely together for so long.

Like Atlus.

Nintendo's relationship was a lot closer to Capcom than it was with Atlus. If you recall, Nintendo allowed Capcom to make several Zelda games. Nintendo even puiblished many of their games.

You guys are crazy... Give them to Facebook

Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney and Resident Evil for Oculus Rift? Okay, I'm in! ;)
I wouldn't want any execs from Capcom poisoning FromSoft.
