I would like to think it won't happen, if only because I don't want to hear a ridiculous level of praise dumped on Skyward Sword (Idon't think it's a bad game; I just think it falls short of nearly every past 3D Zelda)...
Does the cycle apply to handheld installments???
I feel like love for Link Between Worlds vanished quickly...
Have a nice day...
The Zelda cycle is incredibly consistent, all the way back to OoT.
Which means TP will become the best Zelda and Wind Waker will become overrated real soon.

There's 7, if you include handhelds.
I think the haters get quieter, while the people that love it don't really.
I don't think the cycle really exists, it just appears too.
But, I think the art style works better. If it went for the grittier style (which I would actually prefer, if the graphics were up to par with PS4, X1, PC). I think it would make the Wii-U show it's crappier hardware more. The cell shaded artstyle masks it, like Mario Kart, and 3D world.
I know wii launched with TP, and that basically contradicts with what I said, but idc.

It doesn't really. TP doesn't look bad compared to launch 360/PS3 games.
Isn't that the cycle of every anticipated game?

GTA V and The Last of Us come to mind as (Sort or) recent exceptions

We've probably been to different internets. Both of these games have their fair share of nay-sayers.

I'm talking about the main reaction for Zelda U. Most people love it.
As for Skyward Sword, there's a bunch of people that don't like it, so It's fitting in the Zelda Cycle just fine.
