Both games will be holiday 2015 titles!

With Metroid coming and these 2 and StarFox Wii U's library will be complete for me :P

Its kinda disturbing that you can hope games with massive fanbases who thoroughly enjoy them never get them.

Personally I've never owned an AC game but there have been a number of truly excellent Paper Mario games (the most recent one was rather questionable to be fair) and really hope Nintendo make the Wii-U a stellar Mario RPG out of it. Also High-Def paper will be fun.

I mean I don't hate their existances, but if those developers did something else instead, I'd be happier for it. The Animal Crossing guys are doing Splatoon, for example. I'd much rather them put their talents to that than Animal Crossing. Same with Paper Mario. Intelligent Systems annouced Codename Steam. I'd much rather that than a new Paper Mario game. Don't really care if it's selfish. I'd obviously rather a company make games that I want to play than games I don't want to play.

These are two of my fav franchises and there missing from the Wii U's library 2015-16 you think we will get?

Well, AC is developed by the same team that is doing Splatoons, which may release in spring 2015, and then they will need around 18 months to develop the game so 2016 most likely. The case of Paper Mario is a little different, that game is developed by Intelligent Systems, which has 2 teams, one big working on Project STEAM and one small who developed Pushmo and has experience on the Wii U, but they are the ones that should be working on Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem which may be end of 2015, they could put another team to help them like Vanpool, who worked with them in Sticker Star but they lack experience with the console, so even 2016 is unlikely, 2017? if ever?

Update: Looks like EAD team 2 (the one working on Splatoon and Animal Crossing) also have to internal groups one produced by Hisashi Nogami (working on Splatoon) and one produced by Katsuya Eguchi (Who is releasing Wii Sports Club next month). That second team could start working on AC this year and have it ready for 2015, so there is hope.

Yeah.. I expect Metroid to be a 2016 title if you ask me! Star Fox might also get delayed to 2016!

I really only want Paper Mario if it's a proper sequel to thousand year door. The past two entries have been really experimental, which is fine, but they both sucked hard. Thousand year door is one of my all time favorite games, please make a sequel with similar elements.

Animal Crossing I could care less about. The animal crossing team is making splatoon right now, which looks great. Animal Crossing: New Leaf still plays good enough for me.

We'll get an AC game that's basically the same exact thing as every other game in the series with the same exact graphics in 2016. We'll get a true Paper Mario sequel never, because that's something Nintendo fans really want, and Nintendo doesn't like giving their fans what they want.

Unless of course what they want is an endless supply of Mario and party/casual games, then they're giving the fans exactly what they want.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

STEAM looks horrible, even for a 3DS game. Can you imagine what a Paper Mario on the Wii U would look like? Just look at how beautiful Yoshi's Woolly World already is, but then in 3D!

I wish Nintendo gave Kirby a rest and let HAL make something else than Kirby games, prefferably a 3D game...

if they do a Paper Mario series, I hope they go back to it's older roots. Sticker Star was.... horrible... I never finished it and I probably never will
