Honestly the game with its current content should not have been 60$ in the first place, I'm guessing that is why Nintendo had to throw in a free game with the purchase. Mario kart 7, to me, offered more being 1/3 cheaper at launch.

It's not an official price drop, but a retailer's price drop, usually to entice folks into the store/site and get them to buy other stuff.

Yes, I meant just price drops in general and not only official ones. I don't see why they would do that when the game is already selling fine.
