Forums - Microsoft - Confirmed! Battlefield Hardline Will Run At 1080p/60fps On Xbox One

I played the Beta on PS4 and it didn't feel like 60fps. Was graphically quite unimpressive too.

Now people will just complain that the ps4 version was downgraded because of the x1 version...

BS.

Even PS4 version runs at 900p. Xbone probably will be 720p, just like in BF4.

All the X1 fans are busy posting these news that "don't matter" to them. It's like there is a pattern!

It's a big deal in the fanboy war so of course it will be a big deal.  Its one tick box that the Sony fans can uncheck and one that the xbox fans can check.  Now we need to move on to other stuff, as resolution might not be the battleground anymore.

Adam Boyes flat out said its 1080p and 60fps on PS4.

I anticipate a backlash towards Sony if this isn't the case... or maybe people will just blame EA.

so now the 1080p 60fps games are coming, at least more of them.

You do realize those are just numbers right?  Bayonetta 2 will run 1080p 60 FPS also.  Guess which one looks better: Ryse or Bayonetta 2?

Those aren't just numbers. I don't care much about resolution, 720p is fine to me. However, 60 fps is something I always hope developers aim for.

I am not saying 1080p doesn't always look better than 720p.  It does, but just because it is 1080p on the X1 doesn't mean it won't look noticably worse than the PS4 version.

If both the PS4/X1 versions are completely identical, then yeah it will have been held back. Even if both are running the PC version maxed out, better AA/filtering etc can always be added.

A more likely possibility is that EA are simply lazy though :p If that's the case the PS4 version will probably just have the AA turned up, like with UFC.

I wouldn't be surprised if more developers go down the AA route in the future. It avoids a lot of the controversy and is a simple way to use some of the easily accessible power the PS4 would left over.

Then we can have AA wars instead

I gauruntee it was 900p with little to no AA and also massive FPS drops.

"It should be the same" is not confirming anything

I really do love the whole resolution war of this gen. It's really cute... takes me back to the time when fanboys would throw around numbers the way monkeys fling crap at one another, such as how many megabits a certain game's cartridge was, or how many PPS (polygons per second) a console could (theoretically) render, or the granddaddy of them all, how many "bits" the console was, which ceased to matter as soon as gen 6 started.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
