I don'T think people post these news because resolution "suddenly" matters to them I think everyone will always prefer a better resolution. However, resolution alone isn't enough to judge a game and a 720p game can be as fun if not more than a 1080p game. Something some "fans" seem to not understand.

Also if games start to be the same resolution/fps on both next gen consoles then what are PS fans going to brag about? It might be a weapon they lost for their idiotic fanb** war. Really these consoles produce amazingly great games, both of them.

I wouldn't be surprised if most devs cut some effects on X1 instead of lowering the resolution because of all that resolution madness in the last months.

Its not "res" that matters per se. The X1 having greater capabilities than originally believed is the good news.

It appears that the new SDK really did help quite a bit.

Not enough to completely close the gap with PS4 as it still has the better GPU and faster RAM but its nice to see some better parity between the two

You do realize those are just numbers right?  Bayonetta 2 will run 1080p 60 FPS also.  Guess which one looks better: Ryse or Bayonetta 2?

Those aren't just numbers. I don't care much about resolution, 720p is fine to me. However, 60 fps is something I always hope developers aim for.
