Splatoon will have both local and onlime multiplayer! This is Nintendo after all!

There is no way Nintendo would have shown that much of it in their DE if it was just some one mode game. They apparently want this to be big or at least try to make it so.
The Demo is just a gameplay test for E3, which seems to be going well enough.

I'm not claiming this was the only mode? I'm just hoping for a lot more! And with Nintendo you always have to watch out for massive disappointment!
If I had to guess, I'd get that the game is only online, but that you can have four local players on a team. So you can't do 2v2 local, but you can have four friends together playing against four others online.

get hyped peeps, the only complaint is the off control, but Nintendo has plenty of time to tweek the aiming and controls
