Forums - Gaming - How would you have improved Nintendo's E3 Digital Event?

What surprised me the most was that the event ended so soon and yet they still had so much to show. Persona Q, Devil's Thirds, Star Fox, etc. There was a lot of good content that should have made an appearance in the actual show. If they had included more then I think Nintendo's event would have been hands down the best of the show.

Starfox isnt ready to be shown said the master.  and devils third cant be in a direct, it woul be 18+, and nintendo dont want that.

i think they did it right, show the important stuff and some stuff that will come out soon in a direct and the rest mixed with a lot of gameplay later in the treehouse.

A mature 18 rted ip. Too bad they are too afraid to try blood

Come on, Nintendo has another event today. They might more surprises in store for us!

You get huge new games and you're begging for indies and VC? This is unheard of...

Those things can be announced at literally any time during the year in a direct. Why waste precious E3 time on that?

The word 2015 was featured far too much :(

The simplest way to improve Nintendo's Digital Event would have been to move all of the post-DE and Treehouse reveals into it. Show Fantasy Life and drop the Layton vs AA release date. Show Devil's Third. Show Giant Robot, Guard, Star Fox, and the as-yet-unrevealed 3DS game. They could have easily stretched the DE out for another half hour at least with those and some Disney Infinity, Skylanders, etc., but they didn't.

By choosing instead to keep the DE shorter and spread the announcements throughout the week, they encourage everyone who wants to see Star Fox to keep an eye on their Treehouse stream, catching more in-depth glimpses of the games shown in the DE.

I thought it was perfect. The only thing I would change is add a live audience. Pre-record the show, but then broadcast it to the theater where the smash tournament was going to take place. Then broadcast a live feed of that to the rest of us. Live audience laughter of the robot chicken stuff would add to the experience, as would the oohs and cheers when Zelda was shown. Other than that, A+ Nintendo. Well done.

The conference was very good, but it should have been maybe 15 minutes longer and adding a good chunk of 3rd party/eShop games in that extra time, as well as the PacMan reveal and something on SMT v FE.

Can't complain though with the Treehouse and Smash Invitational afterwards however.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I think next year they should do that again, but just have a middle live segment with Reggie surrounded by fans. That would be cool.

The show ended a bit abruptly too, I think they could've maybe mitigated that a bit.
