retail wtf?
maybe its just me but i thought the toad houses killed the pace of 3d world
i think the game could have done completely without them and it would have been even better.

They weren't required, how did they ruin the pace?

boring, tedious, annoying, not fun puzzles.

just let me play mario thats what i was thinking when i was doing these 100%ing 3d world

Well they did just let you play mario since they are optional, you choose to do them since you wanted to 100%.

1. I'm fairly sure if it's retail it'll be a "budget" $40 release.

2. If they stuff with full of enough levels, then having it be retail is totally worth it.

I can see why some people were bothered by the more mentally engaging nature of these in what was a much ore balanced mixture of mental and physical engagement. If anything this is more reasons for them to make this as a stand-alone piece - I'm dying for more!

It's great that they give the option to own a physical copy and not only a digital one through the eshop. Also, from what was shown, price needs to be similar to New Super Luigi U.

Honestly I like the fact its for retail because it means they can put it forward as 'a truly challenging puzzler' and maybe get some purchases from people who like the almost 'rubix cube' like thinking involved but who don't expect it from a Mario game (or a platformer in general). Retail gets more attention.

Yeah, that's what I was initially thinking, something like NSLU... linked it with SM3DW DLC. But it can be both digital and retail releases.
