Me, for a second i thought it was Zelda. I also noticed the no sword thing. He also looks like a native american so may the master sword is not that important in this game.

I will be extremely annoyed if there's no sword. I don't care about the Master Sword, but I need a standard blade.

I think the new Link is a very fresh take on him! Also, I do think swordplay might be less important here. After all, we have the gamepad, which can't really be used to make swordplay more exciting.

The clothes he is wearing look very similar to the clothes link wears in the beginning of Wind Waker. I would wager this is a scene from very early in the game, perhaps before you even get a sword. Start the game with a bow perhaps?
