refer to post above, you obviously don't remember MS' show

Fable Legends was probably the only other AAA exclusive showing gameplay. MS showed too many third parties. The CGI trailers vs the Gameplay trailers of multiplats is advantage Sony.

The Conference itself was much better format on MS's side. But the only reason I see it as close is because of that boring guy that came up and talked for 20 minutes and the camera work, MS took zero risk with their E3, which makes sense, but Sony did so its content was richer and wasn't as dominated by 3rd parties.

Tit for Tat:

From exclusive destroyed Platnum Exclusive, then Suda 51 exclusive

LBP3(Gameplay) > Project Spark (CGI)

Sunset Overdrive (gameplay) > Order (Gameplay)

FC4 (Gameplay) > ACU (gameplay)

COD (Gameplay) >= Battlefield Hardline

Betas > Uncontested from MS

Now + Morpheus + PSTV> Uncontested from MS

Halo Nightfall (wasn't long enough to be negative, sort of intresting) > TV/Movies (- on Sony Side)

Halo Master Cheif edition == TLOU Remaster

Arkham Knight (Gameplay) > Crackdown (CGI)

Mortal Kombat X (Gameplay) vs Phantom Dust(CGI) Killer Instinct (Some poorly dressed dude coming up on stage/not even a trailer)

id do more but I have a final later today, point is they were both close, but both average for different reasons, I honestly expect Nintendo to outdo them both.

Sony had way more gameplay and exclusive focused:

Uncharted 4
Little big planet 3
The order
Blood borne (GAme of the show imo)
No mans sky
Grim Fandango
TLOU remaster
MAgicka 2

All exclusive.

Exclusives

Happy Wars *Gameplay Trailer* 2014

Crackdown

Sunset overdrive *Gameplay* 2014

Project spark *Gameplay Trailer* 2014 PC

Scalebound

Super ultra mega double deluxe platinum extreme makeover Dead Rising 3 *Gameplay* 2014

Halo 5: Guardians

Killer instinct Season 2 *Gameplay* 2014

Halo Master Chief Edition *Gameplay* 2014

Phantom Dust

Forza Horizon 2 2014

Fable legends *Gameplay* Beta 2014

Ori and the Blind Forest *Gameplay Trailer* 2014 Indie

Inside *Gameplay Trailer* 2014 Indie

it was pretty even.

Wtf why doesn't indie count? remove no man's sky then too.
Also magicka 2 (confirmed pc) and grim fandango (other platforms to be announced) aren't exclusives to playstation.

Anyway, MS won (IMO) simply because I watched the whole sony presentation and there wasn't a single game that made me think "I should buy a ps4". Hard to be excited about some cgs that I have no idea how they'll play.

Inside is counted, both have 1 indie each. MS had more CGI's then Sony, the only had CGIs for games we either didn't no about or wouldn't be released this year. Multiplats dominated MS conference as well.

Neither of these are my list any way.

Sony's conference was nearly ruined by that guy in the middle, but it doesn't help watching it at 2-4 am in the morning with a dodgy stream that keeps cutting out... they need to sort that crap out.

As i said in another post, Sony also had:

Destiny weekend Beta this weekend
New coloured console
Farcry 4 co-op free for none game owners
Battlefield Beta
Grim console exclusive

I know sony lost it in the middle but don't lose site that they delivered more varied things to the show than MS.

PS - hope people aren't trying to stealth slate No mans Sky by calling it an indie. It's obviously an ambitious and impressive game, it's an indie studio but it doesn't look like the indie level that MS/Sony have shown in the past.

No Man's Sky was my indie game of show, its the Next-Gen Minecraft for sure.

Only the first four games are actual big deals IMO. Grim Fandango is a remake of a cult classic likely coming to other platforms, TLOU was available last year (and is trumped by the Halo Collection), etc. Furthermore, none of them, with the possible exception of Uncharted, are "Top Tier" series the same way Gran Turimso would have been.

Microsoft, meanwhile, showed off Forza, Crackdown, Fable, Spark, and Sunset Overdrive.

I'd say the two were roughly equal in terms of their consoles' showings. The thing is, the ball was in Sony's court to pre-emptively win the rest of the generation, something that they failed to monopolize on. Say what you want about Bloodbourne, it's probably not going to sell very many PS4's. As things stand, the Xbone and PS4 now have the same price, similar libraries, and similar scaled lists of upcoming releases. Not to mention that if the Wii U has a great showing today, Sony could be in a three-way competition again.

If you are a Halo fan, then MS easily won. HD Halo 1-4 and Halo 5.

For myself, I would rate Sony a bit higher overall, but both did a good job.
MS = 7.5 (they needed a big announcement that never came)
Sony = 8 (everyone was waiting for the last guardian at the end. it had better be at TGS)

Now it is MS or Nintendo to win E3.
Sony did not do a good job.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I think it will be at TGS, they need to excite Japanese players and give them a show to remember, E3 would have been an excellent move, but they need to stimulate that very flat Japanese market.

Crackdown and Fable are terrible series, Spark is on PC too.
