In what way "Steam Machines" are more "consoles" than any other PC with Windows, Linux or MacOS you connect to a TV?

There will be hundreds of configurations, there aren't fixed specs games will be optimized to. They are just pre-built PCs with a DirectX-incompatible OS, a gamepad-friendly GUI and a minor game selection.

Ask nickle . He said  regarding Dead rising It is comming out on PC and steam box. it's in the steam database now. Since steam box is a console and will have access to the full steam library Dr3 is no longer a console exclusive :/ http://gematsu.com/2014/06/dead-rising-3-appears-steam-database

I was saying that dead rising is still a console exclusive as its only on MS platform in terms of consoles . Mr nickle then said teh above. For me pc is pc and console is console. both they have own respective market  hence why to me DR 3 is console exclusive in my opinion.

I didn't make it up. i was told that dead rising 3 is not an exclusive because its on steam and steam is making a steam console. Steam console console is a console and will have all of steam game library  .  However titanfall is on origin  but not on steam but its only available on MS console therefore in this case titanfall is a console exclusive. Sony ps4 won't be getting titanfall 1 but probably will get titanfall 2.

So let me get this straight, you don't consider a lot of PS4 consoles exclusives because they're on PC but you are allowed to use Titanfall, available on PC, in you exclusive argument..... OK!

nope only if they are released on steam . according to a member on vgchartz posting in this thread,  he said games coming on steam will be on steam console which is a console therefore its no longer an exclusive. If its on pc but not on steam it still is a ps4 exclusive. tahst what i meant thanks to a member on vgchartz.
Hence why i said titanfall is still a console exclusive to MS as its not on steam :)

Do you realise how desperate that sounds? Besides has the Steam box even got an official release date? So now we can't include console exclusives that might be released on a console that hasn't been released? Gotcha! Any other rules we should know before we name any more exclusives? What about excluding a game if I imagine it my mind on another console?!? Damn I just imagined a Halo 5 on PS4 with exclusive DLC. Better cross that one off your list for the X1

Edit: Are you sure the guy, that mentioned that said you can't include DR3 because it's on Steam, isn't trying to humour you? Sounds like to me.

@swordf1sh don't know but there were other people who kept saying that its not console exclusive for the mentioned reason. i agree with you and trust me i didn't create that rule. i found it to be a bit quite ludicrous .i saod teh exact same thing. i kept on being told i was copletely wrong by saying that dead rising being a console exclusive as its only available to MS platforms. i just imagined the last guardian on xbox one with all the dlc . Guess tahst off the ps4 list eh ;)

People prefer PS4 that simple.

Lol ok dane we will leave it at that. BTW DR3 is a console exclusive, I agree with that. I hope you get the other points I was trying to make.

BTW how did you find MS' E3? Good, OK or meh!?

@swordfish -- Thats fine by me :).Yep did get what you mean :) It wasn't mindblowing but it was fun to watch as it was games for 90 minutes straight. The exclusives looked good and fun like sunset overdrive. Witcher 3 for MS conference stole the show for me. If thats the console graphics for the game than i am excite :). I am not fan of COD games but this one at least loosk most next gen then the previous one . i would say good and give it 7.5 out of 10. how did you find sonys one? i was at work when they showed it. heard most big games coming out next year liek uncharted and the order .

MS had a great show I thought. Like I said in other threads where people said they had a bad show, they expect way to much. Realistically 1 studio can make a game every 2/3 years so why peoplethink that a game company can chuck out a game every year from every studio is beyond me. MS did well.

Sony are really flexing their muscles when it come to studios though. They can't chuck every game (or revel it) in 2014 because that will leave other years baron and nothing to reveal. I didn't expect all the studios to reveal games. Imagine E3 next year (or upcoming events) if they did? Nothing new to showcase. To me Sony are on the right stratergy. A couple of exclusives at launch, 3 or 4 this year and 3 or 4 the year after. So fo people that again expect to see everything, you're expecting to much.

Overal MS 7/10 - They show some games and exclusive but the multiplat showings didn't have any exclusive deal with them so seemed a little pointless. They also showed a lot of CG. But still a solid show. O and Crackdown is back :)

Sony 8/10 - beside the boring 20 mins of TV it was really good. Multiplats shown with some sort of exclusive deal. A few exclusives. And Uncharted 4, chin-hit-ground. No Mans Sky looks amaing and it's Indie. Great example of what an Indie studio can do and a great example why you shouldn't call Indies "not proper games". I'm a sucker for LittleBigPlanet. And it comes this year :). Great show witout a lot of Sony's big studios.
