Forums - Gaming - EA Sports UFC Could Be 1080p On PS4, 900p On Xbox O

did try the demo on the ps4, and don't see what the problem is with the 900p resolution. The resolution is fine by me,, however did expect the character models to be more detailed then what you get in the demo. Also i hope they fix the lag issues in the menu options. thats very obvious and can get irritating.. Sometimes during the match the movement gets slow. guess there is frame rate drops?

Still not sure why it isn't 1080p on both.

2 people in an octagon with those models..shouldn't be to difficult to do.

Maybe in a hexagon but octagon has already like 30% more gons than that.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It should be 1080p with both versions. 900p/30fps for a game like this is just downright embarrassing...

Asking for 1080p on the Xbone is asking for a lot right now. These systems are going to get stretched before they even hit the ground running. PS4 owners should be happy right now for 900p and Xbone gamers should be happy 720p wasnt the final answer. I think EA was just trying to keep parity between the games when they could've squeezed a little bit more resolution out of the PS4.

It's EA, I wouldn't count on it. They'll rush any game for a quick buck.

Pixel Wars are the dumbest new aspect of the Console Wars.

Agreed and it's becaming dumber and dumber at weekly basis.

This is a burden that Sony PR and fanboys had put upon thenselves (especialy with 60fpt that "we will heard a lot together when talking about PS4") .

The only dramatic case was COD: Ghost, and even with a 125% pixel gap people couldn't tell the difference and it didn't effect sales wise.

Correction, Last Gen.

It was dumb then and its dumb now.

It lasted the entire gen last time, I expect this gen to be no different.

No, I'm not.

You can check it.

I've been policing myself on those pointless discusion. But I read a lot of nonsense and missinformation about gap, secret sauce, DX12, CPGPU and alike.

But this thread was diferent, may be more people are realising how pointless this is for console wars. Specialy when one console is laking exclusives and the other is embracing PC ports.

Care to enlighten us about this GPGPU (not CPGPU :p) misinformation? ^^ Myself included, I've only seen a small number of posts related to it, with the general contents just because that the PS4 is more geared towards it along with a list of interesting stuff that can be done with it.

Easy, there will be no performace gain from GPGPU that could not be achieved by good programing pratices and streamlining the reding pipeline.

And any way, PS4 and XOne GPUs are almost identical and that is the point where this godlike tecnic is performed even your computer can do that, hell even DirectX 11 uses direct compute.

The extra PS4 juice is already being used and the gap as a metric figure is static, the user perception and final impact will be deminishing game by game.

I would be very interested if you could enlighten me as to which games exactly are using GPGPU currently on PC.

Thank you in advance

lol i meant it as a serious question :P

It's not really in publisher's interests to release an inferior version of a game on what are made to be comparable platforms. Many developers worked hard to get the ps3 versions close to xbox 360 performance. It wasn't that the ps3 wasn't capable of that but it was much more difficult to develop for but they didn't want end customers thinking they were getting an inferior version which would put them off buying. So they spent some extra time and money making the ps3 version better.

Obviously it's annoying for ps4 owners to get versions of games that do not exceed xbox one but I think this will change as ps4 dominates this generation more. Now developers are spending much more time on xbox one trying to match ps4 but this will change.

"we discovered that 60 FPS didn’t have a hugely beneficial impact on gameplay, but motion blur had an enormous impact on visual quality."
Seriously, what ?

I'm not even a PC gamer, but this is bullshit.
Just like the RaD dev (can't seem to recall his name), claiming that 30 fps was better than 60 fps because it gave the game a "cinematic" look...

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.
