"Wii U console sales skyrocketed by a devilish 666 per cent this week, of which 82 per cent were the Wii U Mario Kart 8 bundle."

Orly ?

EDIT:

And these are only the UK numbers...

Considering how low the numbers were it's really not that impressive. I mean it still fell short of PS4 and maybe XBO as well. And this is the WiiU's biggest game of the year. This would be like Halo 5 releasing for the XBO, or Uncharted 4 for the PS4.

GT7 would be a bigger release for the PS4 than Uncharted 4.

If we're going from GT5's numbers then yeah, but UC3 had a bigger release than GT6. Granted GT6 was overshadowed by PS4's EU release week

Watch Dogs PS4 boost greater than Titanfall's X1 boost, very impressive given the massive difference in outlay from the two companies. Just imagine what Destiny is going to do

Destiny is going to be huge on the PS4 and it doesn't hurt that it's coming out during the holiday season.

So WD PS4: 190k!!!

105k> MK8 > 50k

Your'e making it seem as if PS4's EU release and not too old NA release were small events. I bet if UC3 was released in place of GT6 it would have been a massive flop. You can't just ignore the sales of GT 1-5 just because GT6 didn't sell well on a console whose sucessor released in the previous week in the game's biggest market.

Yeah 666% of like 1.6k

I just was told this was to be the savior.

Because, y'know, there's still Japan (and MK games usually do quite well there), the rest of Europe (inclunding France, where Nintendo games/consoles are doing better than in UK), and North America.

Windwaker HD got a bigger boost than Mario Kart in UK though. Did you not expect more?

I think the wii u was only selling in the triple digits at the time in the uk, but yeah.

why would it be selling better now?

Because it is, not gangbusters certainly, but better than triple digits, so mk8's 600%+ boost represents a larger jump in units sold than windwaker's.  That's all I'm saying.

Just looking at the numbers here wii u sold 719 wii u's in the uk the week before ww dropped, last week it sold 1655.

Why are you getting defensive? I was just going by both franchises latest releases. GT6 wasn't recieved as well as UC3 was. I honestly believe PS4 owners and non-PS4 owners are more excited for another Uncharted than another Gran Turismo.

Is it my imagination or do UK gamers buy whatever is advertised the most at the time? Other places seem to be a little more discerning in their tastes.

You expecting any country in NA or Europe not to have Watch Dogs as number 1 this week?  Advertising works for this very reason, it's why companies spend so much money on it

Its not your imagination. Its the Nintendo fan inside you speaking.

But is he speaking the truth? Aliens Colonial Marines says YES!

the problem with vgchartz number is there not really reliable, with out knowing the actual numbers we don't really know, epecially when your talking about such a small number to begin with the margin of error could be huge.

man is PS4 dominating. WD PS4 is close to double the XB1 version.

Yeah and this is the UK, just think about what the numbers for mainland Europe will look like.
