Forums - Nintendo - Is Tomodatchi life Going to Flop in Europe and America

So it's a game? I always thought it was just like a social hub like PS Home or something.

Depends on the word of mouth, I think.

I've seen more advertising for this game on Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel than I saw for every other first party Nintendo game released in the last year (with the exception of SM3DW) combined...
I've seen more ads for this Ethan even Mario Kart 8...

Have a nice day...

I want to get this game, it's very interesting. I do have questions about it though, such as is it endless like Animal Crossing? Does it have events for specific days of the year? Or can you do everything there is to do in the game within the span of a few days?

Game seems so funny but there is always that unpredictability factory with new ip's. Am most likely getting this.

I don't think it will flop... it just isn't a game good for a non Japan market... 1 mil sold in Japan, the game is already a success. to be honest if it reaches 300 k outside Japan t will be very good.

Switch!!!

I think it is too early to tell with preorders alone. People don't usually preorder games they may not be sure about yet.

My daughter is going to buy it, so that's at least one copy in Europe.

They're certainly pushing this game, unlike The Wonderful 101. I would be surprised if it didn't do 400k between NA/EU

I sadly think so too. The game's just a little too awkward for the West, I mean, there's a reason it wasn't initially released here.. For me it's awesome, but I'm a Sims fan, so my opinion is biased.
