Perhaps most avid FPS fans want good multiplayer more than a single player experience?

I can understand that.  But, if you like campaigns, this is probably one of the better ones.

I bought it, played a couple chapters so far... its okay. Its nothing particularly unique.

Speak for yourself. It's a better-than-average generic FPS, and after last gen we've got those a dime a dozen.

I'd say the reason is that Wolfenstein caters more to old-school FPS gamers than to CoD mainstream bunch.

This. It's really not the same audience. A large percentage of COD-players never even touch the Single-Player.

I'm getting the game on PC when it's 30$. It does appeal to me, I do want to support games like it and I'm glad it's a complete package. However, I can't afford to pay full price for it.

Get it when and if you can, it's a breath of fresh air, even if it's more or less modernization of proven formulas of the past when devs actually knew how to make something that is not CoD clone. I'm quite enjoying it and I can't say I said that for most FPS games in last 10 years.

It's a great game, tied with Infamous for game of the year so far or me. The story is great and the characters are even better. The voice acting is fantastic and the level design is some of the best i've seen recently. It allows you to tackle the missions in so many ways. I would recommend this game to everyone.

I'll be starting this tonight, now I've got the plat() for Transistor. I'm more in the mood for a good fps campaign atm than watch dogs, too soon after the excellent Infamous SS. The last great fps campaign I played was Resistance 3, I hope this matches up.

Fun game so far, must be a pretty long campaign as I just reached the opening titles after 3 hours. Good times exploring every part of the map, old school map system, love it.

Yeah, they were bold enough to presume that there are still people out there playing games (like in the old times) who don't get lost so easily on maps that have more than one corridor. ;)

Hope at least some devs are taking notes and will follow suit.

The problem I have with most games published by bethesda is that they always drop fast and less than a year later they release the GOTY edition with all the DLC, so I just wait until the GOTY version just goes down to $5 or $10 bucks. It's like a reflex for me now not to buy most publishers games at full price when the publishers have a record for doing GOTY editions.
