Forums - Nintendo - Instead of a price cut, Nintendo raises the Wii U price. "Smart or crazy"?

I don't see much of a problem with this. You get the Wii U bundle with MK8 and a free game which has a price that ranges from 29.99-49.99 a Wii Remote+ which is another $49.99, and the wheel. In comparison to the other bundles where you got Nintendo Land and either New Super Mario Bros or Wind Waker HD, I would probably recommend the MK8 bundle over the Wind Waker bundle at this point in time.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

You get more with the Mario Kart bundle. 60 (free game) + 50 (Wiimote) + 10 (Wii Wheel), grand total of 120.

The New Super Mario Bros. U bundle is 60 (NSMBU) 60 (game) 30 (physical version of NSLU). 90 dollars. So there you go, the 30 dollars difference. Still, I think the Wind Waker HD edition has more, or perhaps not but I don't really remember what's in it.

That's one game vs 2 games. I have already enough Wiimotes and a Wii Wheel.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Ok. But in the Mario Kart you get two games as well. Nintendo is basically charging you the Wiimote and the Wii Wheel. The whole package it's basically cheaper if you think about it.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

The reason they upped it was because it comes with so much. Hard enough for them to make a profit, and for $30 extra bucks you're getting a $60 game, another free game (price varying), Wiimote, and Wii Wheel. It still is a value

Thanks for all the great memories!

Does this guy just make bogus claims in his threads to get hits? Still trying to figure this one out...especially when the following day he posts a thread that is almost the complete opposite stance. Perhaps two people are using the same account.

man, they need the price cut.

I don't know why people are trying to make their argument with the whole +$40 Wiimote + $10 Wii wheel. Not only do most people not want the included Wiimote or Wii Wheel, the two accessories probably cost $2 rather than the additional $30 they're making off of them. With 100 million Wii's sold, don't you think that the people who are interested in this game already have Mario Kart Wii and the wheel from that, plus several Wiimotes and maybe a Wiimotion Plus?

You will probably end up buying it.

Is this your first Wii U game in a while? Only time I have seen you on is when you are yeahing me.

When I'm "Yeahing" you!?  You make it sound so dirty.  I like to think of it as "Making yeah".

Also, it's gonna be a day one purchase!  I'll complete the single player cups and then I'll take it online and take on the world!!

Crazy! Like a fox...

Let's look at this way. You get a Wii U with NSMB WiiU for 300$ But we're not giving you the Luigi DLC like the other bundle, because you get the popular Mario Kart 8 as well! It will cost you 30$ more, which is fair because NSLU cost 30$ retail and 20 digital when Mario Kart 8 sells for $60! But that's not all! You get a custom color Wii wheel for this bundle along with those fancy colored wii motion plus controller! And it's still 330!

Substitute Hyrule Historia for NSLU (cost 20-30$ on retail now) and nothing for the Nintendo Land Bundle.
