I can see it all now. They should have released custom made Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach custom pro controllers.

Casuals moved on a long time ago. Nintendo has already tried catering to them with Wii Fit U and it didn't exactly work out. They're best bet now is to just focus on core Nintendo fans so they can make money off of 1st party software, at least until they release their next console and can explore a different strategy.
