Forums - Gaming - Since no one else will say it; Destiny looks dissapointing

I think the game is decent, but for the $ it cost to make and the hype I agree with the OP

I can't call the game awful, its nice to play has nice graphics and a very smooth UI. But in terms of content, depth and story its hopeless.

I feel the same way.

Its a game I can see myself putting a good number of hours in simply because its fun to just play in small doses. Bungie made a pretty good time killer and nothing amazing. Just like Blizzard with Diablo 3.

and that doesnt even take into account of the crucible.. yup very little content indeed.

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

"Hes the clown that makes the dark side fun.. Torgo!"

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

I'm enjoying the game. It's not the second coming but it's very fun. If you have people to play with it's even better. It's hard for me to get into the PVP sometimes because honestly when it comes to FPS I just enjoy BF4 over anything else. Even attempting to play FPS online just make me get the urge to go play BF4. Single player and coop are great people are complaining about the story but I like it so far not revolutionary or anything but still good.

I can agree with this. I think it's worth the $60 they are asking but anyone expecting the greatest game they ever played is in for a surprise. So far the best game I've played on my PS4 is The Last of Us which shouldn't be surprising.

On a side note and off topic I played I tried Reshogun again when I was bored and the game was really really fun. I don't have time to play it but I certainly plan to go back and try it out.

What I don't understand is the tag line of the game: "Become Legend". I mean this combined with the MMO like features leads me to think that the players in will come to know some other players by their legendary deeds, like in Eve, where even those who played a bit (like me), know what The Mittani is.

So does this mean that there are/could be many things in the game that will not become apparent until much later in the games erm..history?

Wait you got the game? After slamming it for months?

SO far no good news, not a single good first impresion. This was nothing but hhype then. The worst part is that it still sold great day one, and people will regret it later. There should be a preoder clause, that if your game sucks you get your money back or something. Just to stop the hype and then feeling like you got riped off. Or cancelling preorder all together. Or leetting reviewers rate the game first before letting consumers buy it. Even if I dont base my purchase entirely on reviews, I still read them to know wha the game is like, cuz trailers and devs overhype the game to much.

Did you even read the impressions?

But the worst of everything is the tech. The 360 version is 95% as good as the PS4/XB1 versions, and 30fps is a joke for a cross gen gimped title. They claimed the Alpha/Beta were really old builds, but honestly they looked basically identical to the final release. It's going to look actually terrible compared to true next gen games. Hell, Halo 5 will probably make it look like a NES title by comparison, and we will eventually get true non-cross gen FPS titles optimized for PS4, and those will be eye-meltingly awesome of course.

Bungie haven't exactly been known for pushing the envelope technically since way back with Halo 2, 10 years ago. It's dissapointing, but they always seem to have solid gameplay at least.

Turned out the game is amazingballs.

Can't stop to play... tried the Crucible yesterday and just couldn't back to the main campaign (I was planning to finish moon yesterday)...

So much fun and a hell of content.
