I wonder why you guys still care about the CL. Same crap every year, same teams, one of the money shitters will win it. It's more obvious than ever that CL and the people behind it are slowly destroying European club fotball.

And the media still sell the same boring groups as group of death or something similar stupid.

Well, maybe the other teams just aren't good enough? :S

Don't you think I'm aware of this? The CL proved one thing over the past 25 years: Success can be bought.

PSG, Man City, Russian top teams, Monaco, disagree with you.

In the last 25 years my team won 2 CLs, 2 Uefa cups, 2 Intercontinental cups, 1 Euro cup by building a team of really cheap players.

Manchester United... what a bunch of losers. All their life they're in a big hurry to make pointless signings and win nothing at all. Pathetic.

I feel sorry for Di Maria! He definitely made a big mistake by leaving Real Madrid!

FC Porto is the exception to the rule.

Let me rephrase and elaborate my last statement to make clear what I meant:

The CL proved one thing over the past 25 years: The notion that success can be bought became a widespread credo and led to a ridiculous financial upward spiral in Europe's top teams. The amount of money spent on top or even just promising players (many of them just for the bench of crowded top clubs) reaches new levels each season.

It was a really stupid move, so I can't feel too sorry for him. Also, Manchester City is just about to lose against Stoke at home!

This is shaping up to be a really good round for us, hopefully we can take advantage tomorrow *fingers crossed*

At least it ended 1-0 and not 4-0!

Without the money from oligarchs and sheiks those teams wouldn't even dream of playing in the Champions League.
It's pretty obvious that not every single one of these teams can win the CL every year, but they are already winning their own leagues and domestic cups and its only a matter of time until they win the CL (like Chelsea).

On the first sentence I named teams that spent close to 1 billion together in the last 5 years but still haven't won a CL.

Chelsea won because it had years of planning and they followed Mourinho's soccer ideology since he left for the first time.

It wasn't hard for Mourinho to win EPL, he was the smartest and the most innovative coach at the time.

I'm sorry but EPL has never had an outstanding coach in my view until they started importing from South of Europe.

Obviously. Upsets happen in football, and that's what happened today - however, upsets are always close matches.
The 4-0 was never an upset, it was just your every day game.

Yeah.. I've been a Steaua fan for ages so I'm kinda used to upsets!
