The only way a team concedes 5 goal in half an hour is when they let the opposition do it. Argentina are unlikely to do the same in WC Final. It will be a tough match and Germany have psychological edge. 2-1 or 1-0 in favour of Germany are fairer predictions than Germany winning by 5 goals or more and having to waste time and not humiliate the opposition team too much. Germany appeared to back off after scoring 5th goal. No show boating, no shirt off goal celebrations, Germany played the game with humility and respect for demoralised Brazil.

Of course Sunderland drew intentionally! I mean, they probably would've liked a win, but I'm sure they were content with tying a strong Man United. And City was even happier that Sunderland managed a draw. And at bolded: not a single game decides the league table after a matchday, 19 do (in England at least). This isn't like poker at all. All teams know what results lead to what standings. Once again, you're not on the same team just because you benefit from another's actions. There has to be actual teamwork involved. There is none in a penalty shootout.

The other remarks weren't directed at you if you agree with me. I just saw some other people saying stuff like that in this thread.

Well if Sunderland were intentionally drawing to help Man City then it is a combinational effort to try and make Man City win the league. The INTENT of the action decides whether you're working towards the same goal (i.e. helping Man City with the league) or not. Otherwise we would have to say Sunderland's result coincidentally helped Man City. Was it to help Man City or was it to help only themselves to not suffer a loss? The answer to this decides whether it's a combinational effort between Sunderland and Man City. I personally think Sunderland didn't care if Man City won the league or not. They only wanted to play for themselves and not lose to Man U. No one plays to lose except match fixers.

Again, penalty shoot out is a team effort because you have MULTIPLE penalty takers that have to perform to help the team through. The result is not decided on a single shot.

Just because it is 1 on 1 turn-based doesn't make it a non-collaborative effort because the points are cumulative towards your team.

Rooting for Argentina. The online handeling of Brazil-Germany was not classy. Many Germans acted very rudely and not classy after the result. I was rooting for Germany before the reactions to winning over Brazil.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Good strong defensive efforts shown by Germany, Argentina and Holland in Semi-Finals. Where was Brazil's defense? Brazil can not defend corners, they ball watch, can not tackle and make school boy errors.

This is a hilarious picture.

Without Thiago Silva, the defense just crumbled. Especially after the first two goals.
