Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I like knowing that I have a commanding lead. The previous statement may or may not be true, because my phone doesnt show the full table.

Yes, the same team, except for the fact that Vieira wasn't injured in the 2006 WC, and top class players like Dacourt (who?) or Silvestre (I'm sure our resident Premier League followers than aren't Man U fans will have fond memories of him) who got replaced with nobodies like Eric Abidal or Franck Ribery. How they managed to reach the WC final after those changes is a mistery.

Getting injured after 40 minutes is near the end of a match with extra time? Pfft.

Vieira wasn't better than Deschamps, and yes, Henry is overrated. He was no good without spaces to take advantage of his speed, which means he's useless against an overly defensive team like Greece (same thing goes for a guy who is useless at offense like Makelele).

Absolute rubbish, Makelele was praised by players like Zidane and Figo at Real for holding teams together his job was not to attack do you even know what roles certain players do? Nedved was injured near the end of the the match when Greece scored and either way the Czech Republic had many class players at this point you're just making bitter excuses. How France got to the final is simple they were one of the best teams around, don't care about your bitterness towards Henry because his talent speaks for itself if Greece shut him out it shows how well they played defensively and is down to the manager to come up with tactics to overcome that.

If you don't know what happened at the mesón Txistu in 2003 and its consequences you have no idea why he got praised by Zidane and Figo.

"His job is not to attack" False. His primary role is to help his teammates in defensive duties. That doesn't mean that he must suck at attacking (like he did), and by attacking I don't mean scoring. Against a team like Greece that was not going to attack his skills were useless, and his shortcomings crippled the team.

Nedved got injured in the first half and Greece scored near the end of the first half of the extra time (m. 100-105). Google it or do whatever you want but it's not as you say.

EDIT - Forget that, let's make it simple: Do you think a modern team needs a player like Makelele in it's starting 11 to be sucessful?

Sorry but you need to sit down and read over your post as you're coming across as someone with no clue in how football strategies, player roles, positions and all work and that's not me being harsh either, you edit further highlights this. The majority of defensive midfielders are not good at attacking it's not their primary job, their role is to provide cover and hold the midfield together, this comes before attacking otherwise the defence would be under constant pressure. Their contribution to attacking is mainly to release the ball to more attack minded players like Zidane etc... this is how it's always been, if the French manager put on defensive players against Greece then that's down to him not the players, that's what managing is all about. Want an example of a player like Makelele right now, look at Mascherano holding the Argentinian midfield and releasing the ball to Messi.

I honestly have the impression Germany usually underperforms against Brazil.
I'm going with BRA 1 - 0 GER

Brazil 2 - Germany 1
Argentina 2 - Netherlands 0
