Gotta love FIFA right? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3205842/russia-2018-world-cup-stadium-being-built-using-north-korean-slaves-on-45p-an-hour/
At least 110 North Koreans are being forced to work on the Zenit Arena for £8/$10/€8,28 for a 17-hour day. Up to 90% reportedly goes to the North Korean government, and multiple North Korean workers have died.

Just like Qatar. I wonder, did the same happen in South Africa?

Also far over $1 billion for a stadium that doesn't even have a capacity of 70,000?  With work slaves?

We're talking about Russia here, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the vast majority of that money went straight into the pockets of government officials and officials of the Russian Football Union.

Amount of teams at the 2026 World Cup and beyond:

  • UEFA (Europe): 16
  • CAF (Africa): 9
  • AFC (Asia): 8
  • CONCACAF (North America, Central America & Caribbean): 6
  • CONMEBOL (South America): 6
  • OFC (Oceania): 1

The host country will not get its own spot independent from the host's confederation, but instead it will take a spot from its confederation (for example if an European country hosts the World Cup UEFA will only get 15 spots during the qualification stages).
The final 2 spots will be decided via a play-off system. 6 teams (1 from each confederation, except UEFA, plus an additional team from the host's confederation) will compete in these play-offs. The 2 countries which are the highest on the FIFA World Ranking will get a bye in the first round, while the other 4 teams will play for 2 spots in the final. The tournaments is scheduled to take place the November before the World Cup takes place.

I still think we should fuse Conmebol and Concacaf so Bolivia and Venezuela can go to a world cup

I know I'm late to this, but yet another "wonderful" match from Romania. There's no way we're qualifying. -____-

Longer drawn out events with teams that should not be there. 16 or 24 team were good days of international football. I am not a fan of the current 32 team format and they want to make it 48 teams in 2026 and beyond world cups. Just let all teams play at world cup without qualifying matches so it can be in line with the political correctness of giving all nations an equal chance so it does not offend anyone.

Oh well, at least we didn't lose I guess.

Should look at everyone around you, neither did they except Tottenham.

Pep is still to convince me he is the great manager people claim he is. From was great team to the next yet he's tried to change the team but those changes aren' quite there I don't think. When was the last time Kompany played?

Hmm, pie.
