If you own a 3ds OR a Wii U (not both) would Nintendo releasing a Wii U plug in adapter (similar to the gamecube one) for 3ds games convince you to buy the other system or at least the other system's games that you don't own? I own both, but if I only had a 3ds and knew that the Wii U could play 3ds games that was certainly tempt me to buy a Wii U. If I owned only a Wii U and that adapter came out I would buy it, not buy a 3ds, but buy a TON of 3ds games.

So basically if they release that adapter I think honestly both of their consoles software sales would skyrocket. If people can buy a $50 adaptor to play 3ds games instead of spending 130-199 I think many would do that. What do you guys think? Would this interest you?

Reminds me of the rumour of their next console being both handheld and home console.

But, they don't need adapters, wireless and a lot of time.

I already have both consoles but maybe it would help the Wii U but it would hurt the 3DS sales even if the mobility is lost with the Wii U adapter. But I think it would make sense for the end of this console generation especially if the 3DS production comes to an end first.

I think it's too late for that now. It's still a cool idea though! I wouldn't mind buying that.

Would be the direction they are heading anyway...wouldn't butcher sales anymore than GBA player for Gamecube did.

Like the Game Boy Player? That would be AWESOME. I don't care if the resolution is the same as the 3DS, but that would be epic.

Also they make more profit on software than hardware so if a few people decides they don't need a 3DS since they have the adapter, Nintendo would still make money.

It would allow you play Super Street fighter 4 on the Wii-U online.... sign me up.

I'd buy the adapter and sell the 3DS. I never use it outside my home.
