However I think it looks absolutely stunning and I kind of like the crispness of the visuals that is given due to no AA. (it doesn't look like everything is through a soft filter). However if sacrificing AA was for 60fps. TOTALLY WORTH IT. I'd take the smoothness any day over softer visuals. To me MK looks fantastic. That duplicate frame every 64 frames is noticible, but only if you look for it. Overall as someone with both a PS4 and Wii U, I have to say I'd be happy with the visuals on MK8 if it was one of my PS4 games. Infamous is more technically impressive thanks to how much more is going on, but Mario Kart 8 is certainly in the same league from aesthetics. |
mario kart should not be compared to infamous, the graphics in infamous are on a whole different level in every catagory except framrate. mario kart is just not a techically impressive game, every direct feed pics of mario kart 8 i have looked at, shows average textures, low poly models, bad IQ and jaggies. honestly it's not even top tier for a 7th gen game tech wise.

As I said, Infamous is more technically impressive to how much more is going on (i.e how much more complicated the game is) but when they're both on my Panasonic GT Plasma, Mario Kart does not look out of place. It's amazing how much 60fps helps make things look better. But the lighting on levels like Moo Moo Plains etc is spot on and in motion they look great.
If you are using screenshots to make your point, your point doesn't really make sense as I'm talking about how the games look in motion whilst playing them. I can assure you that those screen shots bare no resemblence to how it looks in motion.
