It's definitely possible. I want it to succeed because I want both Zelda and Dynasty Warriors both do something different, take some chances. I think it'll go well.

yes, it'll also (if really successful) give dynasty warriors games attention!

This is definitely looking good so far

Definitely has a good chance since NA is Wii Us strong region, and the EU sales are pretty bad for DW.

how about Japan?? :p (no way!)

Zelda not to strong in japan. DW and One piece was almost on par to Zelda OoT. So unless it reviews well and is recieved well by fans alike it will not do so well in Japan. It is releasing this summer already though.

Well I will admit that I don't know enough about this game to be too sure so I voted "Need To See More". But my initial feeling is that I won't pick it up and I also hope it will sell very poorly.

Why? Well, first of all I am a big fan of the Zelda-series. And these kind of spin-offs I don't like at all. If it turns out to be a success we will only see more and more spin-offs like this, and I won't like it one bit. I only want the original series with dungeons and the whole package, the things that make Zelda what it is.

the thing is its not being developed by nintendo. If successful it would still be made (if more)  by third party. It wont hurt LoZ cuz nintendo develops it. So saying you want it to sell bad so nintendo can focus on real LoZ games is kinda pointless.

Ex: Nintendo makes LoZ (main games) in the next 5-6 years

LoZ U (2015)

LoZ 4DS (2017)

LoZ X   (2019)

If Hyrule Warriors is successful that schedule will stay exactly the same, if its not successful that schedule will stay exactly the same.

Wanting Hyrule Warriors to see bad sales will make us have less potential games. If you wont like it fine, but by no means is it going to fill in for a Nintendo LoZ game!

Yes I agree with you and understand what you mean. But I only meant that if this is a failure the outsourced Nintendo games would/could be more Zelda focused in the future and not just some spin-offs. For example when Capcom made Zelda: Minish Cap, a game which I hold as one of my all time favourites, is a much better way to go.

If Tecmo Koei(they make this game right?) would make a proper Zelda game but in their own engine and stuff, that would actually be really interesting. It would make a whole new feel to the Zelda I am sure, which this game of course also will. But this game will be missing so much of what I want. So being selfish I do hope it will fail. But like I said earlier, I won't make too many early assumptions since I don't really know too much about this game yet. I might like it in the end. :P

No need to wrry imo! Anywayz at first this game was looking like a Dynasty Warrior game reskined with LoZ, but after todays/yesterdays info its looking like a LoZ with Dynasty Warrior Elements which can be pretty cool!

Also a game where you can play co op + play many characters instead of just link!

We'll see soon enough how this game will play out :)

Day 1 - my first game of this kind.....

Switch!!!

I need to see more. Starring one of Nintendo's main franchises, it could be their highest selling game.

One Piece definitely did a great job :)

I don't see it beating One Piece. It's just so huge in Japan being the most probably manga and anime. I don't see Hyrule Warriors beating it, but it could come close to it.

Depends partly on reviews. If Wii U wasn't selling like a dog, I think it would be no question, but as is ... hard to say.

Good points, that is definitely something to put into considerstion. Also kinda funny, the games dont score that well :-/

the highest i believe is a 78 on meta and all games tend to do 55-75 on metacritic O.o
