Hmm... Maybe Miyamoto? But I don't think he is/will be a good CEO. I don't see him as a leader.

Iwata's apprentice, or a long time game developer (Aonuma and MK's head of dev team comes to mind) are what I believe should be the next CEO of Nintendo. But what do I know, I'm just a guy

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Wii U is no longer selling at a loss, which worried investors.
With the coming games for 3DS and Wii U, both systems are bound to rank in some profits for the company. Wii U, probably not as much as 3DS, but still, it will depend on it´s release schedule.

If Wii U was bound to continue losses for another year and there was no QoL incoming, i could see Iwata in serious trouble.

True, it's not selling at all

That was low! :)

I fucking hope so. MUTINY!!!

I hope he still does the Directs, if he steps down.

Nope. I would hope the investors aren't trigger happy. Hopefully they don't press that "Fired" button too soon especially considering the possibility of a slight recovery in this FY. He also still has QoL which might make some Investors keen on keeping him in order to see what he does with it.

Lets say he does, who is next up to take over?

Iwata was a very good developer for Nintendo, i wonder if he does lose his CEO status if he would go back to helping create games?
