Yeah, their list seems to lack a fixed criteria, that's my problem with it. I never know if they're ranking their games by personal opinions, or impact on the industry, importance, objective analysis of the games (or as objective as you can be on this case)...

Their top 100 rpgs puts the first FF above FFX, for example.

Looking at the list. It is probably sorted by personal opinions of the staff. Which makes this list .. fun to read through, nothing more.

I'd be surprised if Mass Effect 2 wasn't no.1

Opinions and all, but In what world does IGN live where Black Ops is a better game than Xenoblade Chronicles, Vanquish, AC4, NFS Hot Pursuit and Condemned? Do CoD fans even like previous CoD games once the next installment is released? Most people I know that love CoD ALWAYS play only whatever the newest released version is and drop the previous one.
