Well, I'll need something new because DK has bore me now to continue making threads about it, the other day I made maybe the last one. I'll be watching closely MK and SSB performace.

And he was right. If SS would have come at Holiday 2009 it would have sold a lot better than the miserable numbers it got.

And it's the same with the Wii U. This holiday is the third one for the Wii U and no Zelda game still when Nintendo released a Zelda in the first years on other consoles.

No, that's not quite how it worked.

No new 3D Zelda = blind rage.
Info on Zelda = happy.

Like the entire future of Nintendo depends solely on Zelda.


At least it will keep some fans satisfied, because that's what Nintendo will do before they release new hardware, isn't it?

Usually they print it and ship it ahead of time, how do you think it gets into retailer hands?  It magically appears in a box the day of release?  There's seven months and 27 days from the day of its announcement.  Not sure how you get eight months of development time out of that.

Yes, but that's an entirely different matter.


How so? Keeping their fans happy is important for the future of the company. It will damage them if they don't satisfy the needs of their consumers, and it's clear that a Zelda info+game is one of those needs.

minus the 27 days for shipments. 7months, where the hell did you get this number? I can argue with you the same point. Did they magically have gameplay the same day it was announced? Was there no development before that???
