No.  I think Nintendo fans state Xenoblade Chronicles is the best RPG ever because Nintendo purchased Monolithsoft and it's a first party exclusive game.  Same reason Nintendo fans praise Monolithsoft as being the best RPG developer, which not once did you ever hear them make that statement until after they became first party, not even when there were exclusives on Nintendo consoles from the developer like Baten Kaitos, Soma Bringer, Dragon Ball Z Attack of the Saiyans, Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier, etc.  It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo fans started praising Xenosaga 2 at this point, despite how bad it is just so they could hold onto their claim of Monolithsoft being the best JRPG dev. 

Aw good :P cause I was gunna say I loved LOD when I was a kid before I knew of any console wars lol

I'm in the minority that loved The Last Story and didn't really care for Xenoblade.  Maybe I'm missing something.

I like both for different reasons. I Like Xenoblade because it was good. I Like The Last Story because it had Welsh characters saying Welsh things.

It's 50/50.

I'm sure Persona 3/4 fans could atleast agree they should have used the demons themselves rather than the shadows and no less than 10 variations of each shadow.  It could have still kept the same story, just all the popular SMT demons could have been the enemies.  Unique enemies each battle, no repeats with just a different color and different strength/weaknesses, so if you've played past SMT games you'd recognize their weaknesses based on the enemy you're fighting.  They could have introduced new monsters in the game as well, but the whole concept of shadows and you fighting the same monsters just different colors was a poor choice.

i dont finish many jrpgs.
in general, i play a little, find boring and never play again.
But there are 2 that i found amazing and i went until the end: chrono trigger and xenoblade. For me both are the bests jrpg ever.
knowing my taste, what games i would like like these?
