He's not saying anything new, we already knew ICE team improved the CPU's performance a few months ago. There's no "lie". He could definitely be less sensationalist though.

Until proven I won't give that rumor any more credit than any of the Performance Boost rumors for the Xbox One.

yea i relly dont like hearing how software is gonna magically make things better, but tidux.. hes been right about some stuff and i have other reasons that make me think he may be telling the truth here.. Thuway makes things questionable.. almost 3 weeks left i guess. E3 is gonna be intense

Thuway actually said a lot of things that turned out to be true. But he also talks crap sometimes.

So does Michael Pachter with his guesses about industry sales, etc.  Make enough guesses and you're bound to be right some of the time.

Except Thuway never "guessed". He made up some stuff, I'll give you that, but whenever he was actually told something, he told it.

And in this case, Tidux told him that, and I don't remember him saying something that didn't turn out to be true. So let's wait and see, I guess, but I still don't believe in a "Massive performance boost", to be honest.



Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

At this point, I don't even care. I just want games, I've hardly touched my PS4 this past month because I've got nothing to play.

The two possibilities are either that they will be unlocking some of the PS4's reserved power (which isn't likely considering how early we are in the gen), or they are talking about more efficient drivers that let the PS4 make better use of its pre existing power. That in itself is perfectly possible, but I'd certainly say he is making it seem like more than it is (like people have done with dx12).
