Yes!  Reach felt like a more refined Halo 3, which was what i expected from it. With Halo 4 i was hoping 343 would try to take the series in a different direction with new ideas and a better story. Instead we got something that felt like they'd tried to copy and paste Halo 3, but forgot half of what made it good :p

I'm sure if i went and played both again i'd prefer Halo 4, but i had different expectations for both when i first got them. Reach met them perfectly, Halo 4 shat on them ¬_¬

I thought Reach was great. Just because it's not the same as the main Halo games and you didn't like it doesn't mean it's bad, or terrible. It has the same pace, gameplay, etc... It just had a darker ambiance. 

The Single Player Campaign was darker, much more dramatic, and I really think it worked well. Bungie did an amazing job at immersing us in the events that happenned on Reach.

Reach was Meh, first Halo I didn't play very much.

Oh and regarding this rumor if true

He was probably referring to the TLoU Remastered backlash Sony got, while now suddenly everyone's hyped for this.
