I don't have any experience with the new kinect, but from what I've heard and even there from boogie, it seems when people say they love their kinect and list reasons why, it's all voice commands.
I feel like MS should release a microphone addon since the voice reco seems to be the most popular feature of kinect.

I like the Xbox Fitness app. Other than that there isn't much else to use with Kinect.
Now everyone love kinect ccc

For someone who likes to talk as much as Boogie Kinect might be useful. I don't care for voice controls, or extra lag when using the cable box tv guide and recorded programs list. Get a game out that works great on Kinect before I buy an XBox One, otherwise I'll get the cheaper bundle.
Anyway he has just convinced me I shouldn't pay more than $350.
The only good thing he could say about the Kinect was the voice commands, I'm not paying an extra $100 for that, especially when I just use my gaming consoles to game, I don't use all that multimedia stuff.

From all that I've heard, buying an Xbox One with the Kinect sensor seems to be the way to go, so that's likely what I'll be doing. Suppose it depends on my finances when I'm buying one.
