Which is more arrogant / stupid, Sony 2006-7 or MS 2013-14?

Clearly, the structure of this thread is going to be heavily skewed by bias and prejudice.

Thus, a more effective way of analyzing this topic more objectively, despite the fact that the question is inherently more objective, is to divorce the greviances from the companies that commited them.

So which of these actions themselves are the most arrogant/stupid:

Contexts are purposely left out and some options can apply to both companies.

A - inclusion of cost-prohibitive technology, generally to purport a technological vision

B - ignoring consumer response

C - ignoring/ignorance of prior knowledge

D - disconnect with consumer desires

E - deliberate insulting/abandonment of consumer base

F - testing the waters, so to speak, by testing out policies to illicit consumer response

G - reliaince on strength of brand

H - reliance on strenght of vision

I - failure to provide necessary information

J - other

I agree.

Still find it hard to believe that people still accuse of MS ignoring their customers when they responded to them 6 months before the consoles launch, and addressed the other major concerns 6 months after. That's pretty damn fast.

It's not even close. E is the stupidest and most arrogant, by far. Followed by B, then C.

That would be impressive, if not for the fact that their reasons for not making the changes sooner were not contradicted by the very changes themselves. Furthermore, some of the changes like Games For Gold and Netflix Paywall, where things that required an entire generation to change.

The situations are not equivalent, so comparing time is not a fair comparison. Not to mention MS had prior knowledge.

E and F for me. The rest is bad as well.

E is the worst.
I don't see how this thread is any different to the other one since anyone that has been following gaming news can easily match the company with the action, so overall this isn't much more objective.

First E, then A. 

i'd say D for sure and then probably I followed by C and lastly K.

The point of this thread is not to figure out which company was the most arrogant, but rather what are the actions that people most take offense with.

Furthermore, Many of these options could apply to both companies and even Nintendo in some cases.

Its similar but very distinct.
