Should MS allow Voice commands through headset

Yes, Voice Commands for all 27 69.23%

Total:38

I guess M$ is seeing how well PS4 eyetoy is selling even without being bundled and are fine with it. People will still end up buying the Kinect just to feel complete. Purposely gimping the consumer so they'll feel the need to get it. Why give people no reason to get a Kinect at all? Your system was built around it. M$ is bending over backwards to make people happy, do they have to lick our asses to?

You wanted a console with no Kinect, well here have it. You'll just have to live with how it operates without one, you cheap bastards.. ♥♥♥

This this this...lol

This is a feature the Xbox One should have already had.

Ehh, That sounds pretty much exactly like what they tried to avoid with the integrated mic in Kinect. They could do that but I think the plan was to make it as easy as possible and not "if you want to use voice commands you first have to put a headset on your head to start the console with it or to navigate through the app while watching TV".

But for some games I think they could do it but that's more a thing of every single developer. When I played Rainbow Six on my original Xbox the voice commands to throw a grenade and clear the room and stuff like that worked pretty good for me. But for all the other stuff, using the headet doesn't sound like a great idea even if they could obviously integrate it for the 50 people who want to use a headset for that.

They either need to allow basic commands without the Kinect, or change the interface of their system entirely. That thing is a mess without Kinect voice commands.

I am surprised that it is not possible right now.
I mean, Amazon's Fire TV can do it through the remote controller, how difficult can it be to enable it through a headset.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that MS is preparing a patch to use voice commands with a headset, but I can't find the article right now.

No, they should keep it a Kinect premium. Poor people don't deserve such features. People want a Kinect-less console because they just want games, right? M$ listened. Now we are asking them to give us something the Kinect provided? No, you will just get games. No Soup for you!!!

I have the Kinect and four of my friends who have it disconnected it. I am the only one that still has it connected.

If it's an option, sure. Let everybody have it. Hell, maybe it will be MORE precise. I won't be using it that way, though. The beauty of the Kinect with Xbox One is that I don't have to do anything. Not even put on a headset. I can be in the kitchen cooking noodles and say "Xbox, what's on AMC" or "Xbox, Pause" without a second thought. If I fall asleep on the sofa and wakeup, all I do is say "Xbox, on" and that's it. I don't even turn my head. Options are always good but, as I said, I think I'll keep doing it the old fashioned way.

maybe they could just make a gamepad with a share button on it and make the kinect completely obsolete.
