Owww well, so much about people being childish for calling VGC on the X1 overtracking... and For people that want to calculate just use the estimate on the http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-05-15-titanfall-ps4-drive-us-game-sales-up-17-percent-in-april-npd "Sales of combined X1+PS4 more than doubled X360PS3 for the first 6 months".

Do anyone have the real numbers of NPD for the first 6 months of each?

Apr - 115k 230k (going on the 2:1 rumour)

Total - 2,642k 3,165k
VGC (230k overtacked) (28k undertracked)
growth of 87,5% (so maybe X360 numbers for the first 6 months are undetracked???)

Total growth of 120%

So VGC was way off. Xbox One numbers less than half of what the 360 did at it's first April.

That might be the answer. FPS usually do well and Bungie being on Sony platforms probably has people excited. 

Yep but Titanfall was also a FPS...and if Destiny already has such huge numbers then it will dwarf Titanfall. And titanfall had a reall good opening week.

I just don't see why it would do that much better than Titanfall, from a game point of view. Looking at the trailers etc. destiny has come across pretty average.

I think it's the Bungie + Borderlands cocktail that does the magic.. at least for me.

I have just put a thread on the first 6 months... I used the total of 3.11M to guesstimate April, so I already corrected 230k, kudos for VGC for getting PS4 right this month, but overal it is depressing... visit it.

Now with confirmation of the X1 being extremely overtracked in the US, does anyone else feel that the same could, to a lesser extent, be the case in the UK? Vgchartz has the X1 at the top since the beginning of April, I personally believe though that for the last 2 weeks the PS4 has been back on top, I arrive at that conclusion through a mixture of weekly GfK charts, Amazon rankings and intuition. :D
