The masses will come to 8th gen in stages, overwhelmingly for the huge multiplat games (and more so when the 7th gen ports start to dissipate). The PS4 advantage in mulitplats isn't going away, and the lower install base for XB1 means that even timed exclusive titles are going to be expensive.

I CAN NOT believe that this thread is still going...geez. First off no disrespect to the OP but with the word SOON in his thread title it already makes ti false. The XB1 WILL NOT be catching up to the PS4 in the USA ANYTIME SOON. I do believe it will catch up to the PS4 just not "SOON" as the thread title implies.

Also the thread is premature and should have been made maybe AFTER the sales of the XB1 picked up or the sales of the PS4 REALLY slowed down to levels close to that of the XB1. I say everyone should just leave it be until later in the year around Sept or OCT then bump this thread again to see where the sales stand/sit regarding the PS4/XB1 because for now...sorry Drill but nothing has changed and the PS4 is still outselling the XB1 with no current signs of that changing anytime soon.

Wait until September? That will be a horrendous month for xb1. Their best week will be Halo MCC week. Doubtful they win any months unless they drop to $299 (doubtful this year, but $349 would at least make things interesting)

So the PS4 outsold the X1 in May by 120k units which brings the overall gap in the US to ~620k. BenV has said that in Gamestop, X1 is leading the PS4, BUT the PS4 is putting a "hell of a fight." We have about a half month to go and the PS4 is leading the X1 in Amazon and Gamestop by a long shot. If this trend continues, whatever lead the X1 had will be erased and then some.

An honest spelling mistake, could happen to anyone.

Regardless of all the sherdog logic, in USA, marketshare wise between PS4 and X1 it's very close, like 5 % or so difference, this shows how much of a force X1 is in USA, especially compared to the dominance of PS4 in Europe.
