1984:
King's Quest, the first game arrives and Sierra starts a long climb towards the very top of the gaming industry in adventure games, along with Lucasarts.

Tetris is conceived in Russia, but isn't released on a global scale until 1989 though.

Knight Lore revolutionizes the industry by offering a proper isometric 3D view in an adventure title and also wins GOTY.

Accolade are formed, same with New World Computing, who are behind on of the most popular turn-based strategy/RPG hybrids ever created (Heroes of Might & Magic series) and the legendary Might & Magic RPG's, set in the same universe(s) as the HoMM games.

Sega merge with CSK and become a lot bigger, leading to the development up to the 4th gen where they put up a proper fight.
