We need to update the chalkboard!
| Veknoid_Outcast said: Hmm, it's still a little vague. Technically the current service is subscription based, it just allows games to be kept once the subscription expires. But it does sound like it could be a PS+ type service. If it is, and Microsoft is indeed moving away from a reward program to a rental service, then the games should get better, if only to compete with Sony. |
Xbox One Games with Gold is exactly like PS+. 360 stays the same. (Read small print at bottom)

*shrugs* Personally i believe a 50% higher GPU peak, considerable faster RAM and being more geared towards GPGPU is a fair amount more than "slight".
But hey ho, whatever rocks your boat ^^

Kinect 2 must be made available separately then. Wonder how much they'll charge for it
Very smart move from MS. E3 is right at the corner and they are loosing in their main Markets US and UK. They can now afford to talk about games and sway some undecided Xbox Fan that planned to jump the ship to stay on their side. This makes E3 even more interesting. If Sony was planning on hiding some stuff for later, they might be forece to put them out now. It's going to be an interesting fight.
You have got to love competition. People should thank Microsoft for the PS4 and thank Sony for the Kinectless Xbox One.
I don't know if people live in a bubble but people have been BEGGING for them to drop Kinect.
And now they have dropped it they are being crucified for it? Just let them do their own thing. All the companies are playing for the numbers and this will sure as hell improve the numbers by a lot.
As a gamer I am very happy with this news, especially the gold games... So..I get 5 free Xbox games in June pretty nice ..
April and May NPDs are going to awful but June onwards will be very very good for MS. They definitely have US & UK in the bag now.
Holy balls, that is a megaton.
About 6 months too late, but better to rectify your mistakes than stubbornly continue on with them. I never did understand why they forced Kinect in the package, and their justifications for it seemed silly, but glad to see they realised it wasn't the smartest move.
What an interesting year for sales this is going to be... Sony are going to need to step up to the plate in terms of games now.

"As we've said from the very beginning, we believe Kinect is an absolutely integral part of the Xbox One experience." [Harvey Eagle, Xbox UK Marketing Chief] flip flopping like a US politician these days. anyone who has confidence in this company is delusional to the extreme level of religious fundamentalists. |
The irony is so heavy here........
