I don't like paying for champions in MOBAs, or at least being forced to. Having only customization as the paying part as proven to be the best for business quite a few time.

But as a collector I'd like the idea.That would make characters more expensive tough. Shariung them between friends would be cool also.

There are a few free ones on the internet, you should try sometimes. Numerous are easily accessible to beginners (Even to I who couldn't use a keyboard for anything but coding lol) 

My backlog is way to big as is, no need for me to add even more stuff! :o How will I ever find the time?

I didn't even think about the MOBA working with their NFC push. That sounds like the perfect combination of ideas to lead to big profit for Nintendo, capturing the love of children (toys), and regaining a large chunk of the "hardcore" gamers.

I'd probably play it, but I'm not sure if Nintendo would have the ability to create a balanced MOBA - it's nothing like anything they have done before.

Balanced moba? Is there such a thing? I'm sorry but part of what makes LoL so fun is because it ISN'T balanced. It's just insane and characters change in terms of value based on your opponents and your allies. The best character in the match (out of 10)  based on chemistry and weaknesses of the other team could be the worst in the next match with 9 other new characters. Moba's are insane like Mariokart lol. There is no balance.
