Just going on the general principle that exclusives are by default liked before release. All fan groups are like this. PS fans happen to be the most numerous here so I feel my thoughts are arguable if it happened. That said, I don't expect a 90 meta. But even their games in the 80's got a fair amount of fan hype and praise. Not through the roof, but praise nonetheless. I think it will go down like Infamous: low 80's meta yet still is respected and praised by the fans. |
well than i agree with you...
..but my new pet peeve is "other fans" posts. this score keeping we seem to do these days is out of control.

Reading some posts here, no. Impossible. First, terrific and MS doesn't fit together and seems to cause a reality distortion to some members and some are even suggesting this wording means Sony is a bad partner and the whole thing started to fly through the roof.

I see I won't be needing this anymore:

To public bad mouth a company that supported you for 10 yearss is disrespectful. Have you bad mouthed a company that you decided to leave because of a better paycheck? Tell me how it was. |
Ahh but thats just your point of view. The developer never said anything bad about Sony nor did they even mention anything wrong. The developer just praised MS. What I love about that statement is that it really says nothing but could say everything. Its up to the person reading it to form their own opinion.
In reality, the statement could read exactly as its stated. The developer was asked why SO is exclusivve to MS and its because they are great partners. The statement could have no more meaning then that. The statement just might have absolutly nothing to do with Sony.
If you want to own a business, you cant blame the person who gave you a job and experience for 10 years which allowed you to set up that business effectively.
I dont think insomniac did anything wrong by signing a deal with MS, but they did give a big F U to sony by ripping of the chimera from resistance for use in sunset overdrive. It doesnt matter though because they done an awful job of it.
Honestly, It's just business.. Insomniac is just trying to make money in this industry like everyone else
Microsoft gave Insomniac a lot more freedom than Sony offered, and in the end that's whats important for them.
In this case, it was more like the owner either leashing the dog to a pole, or giving them freedom to run around the house. I'm a Sony supporter all the way, but I can see why Insomniac would want to go their separate ways.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

More precise saying not that they partnered with MS because they are great partners but because they were the only willing to support them in their terms? (If they decide not to say about the finances specific). I'll repeat that my only problem in his comment was when asked why the game won't release on PS4 and the answer being because MS are terrific partners. Maybe that was taken out of context or the guy rushed to answer, but certainly seems disrespectful. |
Isn't that just splitting hairs? "MS are terrific partners" and "MS was the only one willing to give the support we needed"? If I was of the mind to think the first comment was "disrespectful", I certainly would think the second was equally if not more disrespectful.
More importantly, again, what do you think this actually means to Sony? Do you think Kaz or whoever runs SCEA now (assuming dumb ass Tretton is gone already, he might still be there) were angry when they read that? "Blah is an awesome partner" is pretty much the standard line given by any developer to their publisher. It's not like if Sony was thinking of doing another R&C, they'd blow Insomniac off because of this.
