Fairy Fencer F was the first, right? That one only sold 80k, so if that's enough to warrant a sequel, then I guess they really don't need to sell much to make money, though looking at how fast they churn out their games, I can't say I'm surprised.
Maybe this'll benefit from the lack of competition on the platform.

Yeah, I wish localizations would be a little faster. With the digital age and the amount of translators available these days, there is no reason for not having a simulataneous (or near it) release, since publishers don't have to deal with physical media costs and shipping anymore. Ah well :(

I don't think the amount of translators is the problem, it's not like they'd have the money to hire more. And we know how people are complaining about digital games, it only really works if the games are extremely cheap or are on PC
edit: also a near or simulataneous release is a major problem considering a developer might change the text during the translation

An english translator or two shouldn't be too expensive for a company, especially since they will be releasing in a lot more markets. Digital sales are picking up faster than ever, especially on console, so companies will soon have no excuse for not spending a little extra money to bring games over to the west. The only real cost is the cost of translation, after that digital sales are infinitely cheaper on the publisher than physical.

Sure a translator or two wouldn't be that expensive but the publisher has to make a profit so they budget the localization appropriately. Also translation isn't the only part of localizing a game

These days, translation is the biggest part of localizing, if they actually embraced digital. With digital there would be no need to make deals with retailers and manufacture physical copies, it would go straight to the PS store where people could buy it if they wanted.
