Oh yeah, that's the scheduled maintenance. It started about 50ish minutes ago and is supposed to last for 7 hours.

I simply don't understand these scheduled maintenances. It's about once a month, for an extended period of time, usually in the evenings. Do they only have one server, so they cannot do it in stages?

And then, to top it off, the PSN goes down by itself every once in a while, or goes belly up like with Driveclub.

I am happier each passing day since I'm stopped paying for PS+, it just wasn't worth the money.

You avoid the maintenance by signing in before it starts.

Well if your console is set to primary then it shouldn't happen, but I have seen other people have this problem as well with their console set to primary.  I guess you were just unlucky this time, PSN is not too good lately.

Yep. I just came home and wanted to get a short quality gaming time in (I don't have much freetime...) but they have to do this maintenance almost always at the "wrong" time.

This reminds me of a days when I came from office. That time I was addicted in Uncharted 3 multiplayer. But I as opened PS3 it said it needs an update. Remind you internet is very slow in my country and updating via ps3 is also very slow. When the update was done it was around 12.30 am and I still wanted to play a few matches. As I started Uncharted 3 it showed Uncharted 3 has a patch. I just cursed Sony and went to sleep.

Regarding the AI: (I know, I know, Dualshockers = pro sony but anyway)

I saw that and DualShockers did a good job testing out the AI with various situations. This just shows that a lot of reviewers who gave Driveclub low scores aren't good at racing games. These other sites need to actually pick people who are good at games of this genre, not those who always use their opponents as moving guard rails.

Yes but the main gamer population isn't good at racing games either so maybe those kind of reviews will suit them better. Racing game enthusiasts have to make there opinion by themself or go to more specific websites.
